Well, with Second City back in the house with Charmed & Dangerous, digging into all things Baltimore, this seems perfect.
I think, no comment needed. But, a big grateful shout-out to the folks at the Boh, who have such a great sense of humor that, seeing how Second City made loving fun of their product in last year’s show, they eagerly jumped on as sponsor’s for this fall’s new version (Charmed & Dangerous). Now that’s classy.

Natty Boh, or National Bohemian Beer—to give its full given name—has returned to taps in Baltimore, its home of origin. Some have said that this brew more rightly belongs flushing down drains (or urinals) than flowing from taps, but as the recent coverage shows there’s a heavy does of nostalgia and home-town enthusiasm around this subject. All of which gets explored in loving AND satirical detail in the Second City’s customized lampoon of Baltimore, playing at CENTERSTAGE through Feb 20th. The flurry of interest over the return of Boh is a dramaturgical goldmine, frankly, when we thought we were dredging up a fairly obscure sore point. Instead, we got all topical with it.
“Natty Poe”
Between Stoop Stories in the Pearlstone Theater downstairs and Second City coming in upstairs, this snap was too perfect to pass up. Not to mention being straight-up clever and visually elegant.
